Welcome to the blog of the 86 505. I got this car a year or so ago, and wanted to go nuts with it. The circumstances were right, so we ripped into it, and its the new project 505
We got this car about a year ago, and decided it would be the new project 505. Hmmm what to do, what to do. There's always been a list of things that we've wanted to do, so this car is basically for us to go nuts with. The list of modifications are going to be fairly large. I'm not talking about giant wings, ground effects, and neon lights, but more of a mechanical list rather then appearance. Personally I have a respect for the Peugeot engineer's, and think some of their work shouldn't be messed with unless I/we know as much or more then they do. Sure, some corners will be cut due to the budget they have to work with, and the result is poor looking design. However through my journey of talking to Peugeot mechanics, I've learned there are some real reasons things may appear strange and incorrect. Ok so we know we won't be going nuts with our dremel tool and brute force porting jobs, but we don't want to leave the thing totally stock because we've done that before. So maybe
modification in moderation?
We're not Peugeot trained mechanics, but 505 enthusiasts who enjoy wrenching on our cars. If any of our experiences or discoveries can benefit you in any comedic, or informational way then enjoy.

Let's get ripping this engine out of here....
