1983 Peugeot 505 STI. Claret on Tan. Built May 1983, taken delivery in July 1983.
Fully Optioned - BA7/5 5-speed Manual Transmission, XN6 Naturally Aspirated.
I grew up with this car, and I couldn't have wanted anything else.
Never seen a car with more character than this.
I hope to keep this for as long as possible, and original as possible.

Then, and now.

seems that bmw's take quite a liking to this peugeot.

Here's a short list of what I have done.
  • 15" STI Mags
  • Bosch Pilot Fogs
  • Fully Reuphoulstered Interior
  • 84+ Grille
  • 3rd Brake Light
  • Clarion fm/am/cd/ipod deck
  • (2x) 10" JL Woofers
  • Koni Shocks & Struts
  • Sport Front Spoiler
  • European Headlights with 3000K HIDs
  • 140 mp/h Speedometer
  • Obligatory Parisian Plates
  • Peugeot Talbot-Sport Livery Decals
  • New Windshields
  • Fresh Clutch
What I have planned.
  • Complete Rust & Dent Removal (Not too Serious)
  • Complete Re-spray in Claret Rouge Mettalique
  • Carpet Re-dye
  • New Headliner
  • Dash Crack-Repair (ultimately dashmat removal)
  • Amber Fog Lenses
  • Bumper Re-Dye
  • European Side Trim
  • New Front & Rear Speakers
  • Instrument Panel Restoration
  • Wheel Refinish in Silver with Noir Accent

  • New Keys (Match Locks & Ignition)
  • New Pedals
  • Slight Lowering; Front & Rear
  • New Rain-Gutter Trim
  • More as I go.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Constructive Criticism is welcome.

Floor mats- Either Jesse DuBarr
Firewall, not sure, but I remember calling someone before and them saying they have one.
I had this one contact in San Jose, but haven't heard from him in a while...

I have one on my desk at work =) It's perty

Let me know if you managed to scrounge up more than one set of new or used floor mats or any other OEM Accessory type stuff. I'd be interested.

*UPDATE* 11/16

Well there are quite a few issues currently with the car.
-I will be getting a full tune up within the next couple of weeks.
-The passenger door panel is off, as I had to fix the exterior door handle.
One question.-how do I remove the interior door pull?
Mine snapped, now I have one on the way from Miles, so I will need to know how I can remove/install .
Also, the insturment cluster is toast.
I have one on order from Western Hemispheres as well
-Will order a new set of floormats from Jesse Dubarr hopefully soon.
-I am setting a goal of getting the Eurolights installed before(or during) winter. Really need that extra vision.

Hey Ron! So are the last few pics all the most recent ones after your miss-happ with the rack unit and the curb incident? If so the car looks great!

IDK if some of you guys know, but while I was on the East Coast back in Mid-June, someone came and slashed my rear pass. side tire. It happened again last week, and someone came and wrote profanities on my windshield with an oil-based chemical.
With that said, I fixed a few things here and there, and mocked up my Turbo Valence with my stock valence *finally* off. Anyone know how to mount it properly?
