Full Version: Feedback: Want to sell 1987 505 Turbo

I have a 1987 505 Turbo, automatic, needs serious work and has been sitting for a few years, in Nova Scotia Canada, and I am hoping to get rid of it. I'd like to ask $1000 for it, but I am willing to negotiate.

I have two pictures.

The left rear control arm is busted right through and needs changing, although I have the replacement and it would come with the car. The brakes need work, and the tires, and the interior surely needs cleaning, but apart from the brakes, new tires, and the suspension, it's in great condition, just dusty. It was originally black and painted silver, I have the paperwork for it from the original owner (There have been three owners, with the last, me, never having driven it) including the paint and service logs. Two extra rims of course.

I really do not want to part this car out, I want to sell it as is. $1000, as is where is, but if it is too steep I am very willing to negotiate. I love this car and have wanted to get it back on the road for years now, but as I am a university student it just isn't practical for me to be dealing with it right now. I figure, rather then put it onto kijiji or junk it, you guys would be able to make better use of such a great car.

Thanks,
- John

Hi John,

I was the guy that contacted you when I stumbled on your posts about it... Too bad you're selling though.

I haven't heard of anyone that far east into Peugeot's, but hopefully you get some interest and it falls into good hands.

Good luck with the sale!

BTW - I imbedded the pics so it was easier to view them.

Hey,

Yea, need to sell it. Insurance, running and maintenance costs, and so on. We're going to look at another car later this summer (I'm trying to convince my girlfriend for a Porsche 944 to no avail).

Soo... if I may ask, is $1000 too much to ask at least before I break down and put it on kijiji?

Sorry to say - but ANY car that isn't a running and driving car has limited value, and they only have value to someone who knows what it's worth or needs some parts for their own car.

I don't think you'll see $1K for it as it sits personally - but you never know who might see it and need it. We're coming to the point where these are so rare that value is bound to go up.
