Im sure it has something to do with the head being milled - I wasnt sure how
much I could remove from the head when I rebuilt the XD2S in 604
(some diesel engines dont give you hardly and room to remove nothing , like a
6.9 IH) so I heat treated it on a torque plate and got it within .005. Keep
that in mind if you have a shop mill the head. And be sure and replace the
headbolts.
