Those maesurements have nothing to do with the head being milled, planed,
machined. If the head is machined on a diesel, the valves are supposed to be
recessed by cutting the seats down the same amount the head has been milled
to keep the clearance between the piston and valves the same. The
measurements given are for the amount the piston sticks out of the block. It
has to do with how the block (not the head) has been milled from factory
