This list primarily deals with the Peugeot classics from yesteryear
that were imported to North America. The more mechanically inclined
members of this list proffer a superb range of knowledge and
experiences about keeping 403 through 405s alive and running at a
reasonable cost and avoiding the frequent use of Shank's pony. The
407 is almost 15 years on from where most of this list's members are
at.
Your experience with dodgy electronics worries me. Whackled out
electrical systems and electronics going haywire seems to be the
modern Peugeot's Achilles heel. Maybe Peugeot should take advantage
of their partnership with Toyota and outsource the design and
manufactureerof the electronics to Toyota or its suppliers in
Japan....Couple French design and suspension with Japanese
engineering. That's the ticket.
