I am in the uk and i have had a 405 4x4 and although in some ways
they are good they are very easily broken the transfer box splines
which connect the rear drive to the front of the car wear and
eventually fail.
They made a glx4 as well not just the mi16 the system was made by
dangel and uses a rear diff from a 505!!
One intresting feature was the rear suspension was hydraulic and used
parts from the citroen parts bin you pressed a button in the boot and
the car went up!
Citroen also made a 4x4 BX which used the same set up
The 405T16 road car system was basicly the same with lsd to help
traction with 220 hp and 4wheel drive they are the quickest 405 i
have seen there is one goes to a track near me beat a 360 ferrari
amongst other things cornering on 2 wheels!!
