2 large connectors

I forget which runs the rev sw lg or sm

It is the same as a 405 automatic if you are trolling junk yards

  Hi All,
I just got back from an almost trouble free 2k mile Christmas trip up to Seattle and back in my $350 505. Family commitments kept me from trying to get in touch with list members but maybe next time. The only problem that I encountered was that my odometer stopped working. I now know that the tumblers got progressively hard to move until the plastic screw gear gave up altogether. If your speedometer needle is beginning to jump you might want to clean and lube the tumblers.

My question for the moment concerns the reversing lights switch. Where is it located? My car is an `84 505s.

    Thanks,

I just replaced the heater hoses going from the engine into the heater   valve and heater matrix.

Theres a rubber grommet that fits into the firewall. I removed it   during the process, and now I cant get it back in place. I tried   pushing it with several tools but it just wont go back in....

anyone have any tips for this job?

  thanks!

If the grommet won't go in, how about squeezing some "shoe glue" into the   hole around the hose?

WD-40, or some kind of slippery lubricant might do it.   Ken

I'm about to purchase a MI16. The owner says that there is a problem   with the horn. It blows the fuse if its used. How difficult will this   be for my mechanic to fix?
  Thanks,
  Peter

  Hello,
My name is Koh. I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I have two 405Mi16 (1991 and 1992 model. the   1992 Model needs a new motor and exhaust system). I am having a hard time finding a   mechanic who can repair Peugeot (they do not even want to touch it...). Anyone knows a   good Peugeot mechanic in Cleveland area (or in the state of Ohio)?

  Thanks a lot!!

  Koh

Does the high beam switch work when the headlights are on?   They bust more often than anything else on the 405.   So you may need one of them already
You can use a h/l - turn signal - horn switch from a 505 I prefer the pre 86   It has a knicer nob and lasts better than the 86 and newer or the 405 switch

The only other thing in the circuit besides this switch is the horns inside the bumper   accessable by removing the left and right mud liners.

I can email you the circuit diagram if the short is in the harness and you need to trace it

This is fairly common. The horn relay is rusted/corroded. Replacement is easy and cheap.
