RE: [Peugeot-L] '86 505 GL electrical short?

Ed,

Blown tell-tale lamp in the dash is a possibility. The lamp is part of the charging circuit which supplies excitation current and it’s absence prevents the alternator from being “kick-started”. The other way to “start” the alternator is rev the motor to 2 or 3 thousand rpm.

Good luck

Here's the deal.
rebuilt alternator.
new battery.
If not driven at least every other day, battery goes down. Pull #5 fuse (radio mem, locks, clock etc)and all's OK. Radio removed...didn't help.
Any ideas?
