Kelly,
Valve adjust (rockers) is somewhat of a semi-regular maintenance
procedure and does not involve "taking the enigne apart" but you do
have to remove the rocker cover. $10 glow plugs - good deal! or not?
I can't speak for Niehoff glow plugs but I think I have paid a
chunk more for Bosch or others. Your problem could also be the
timer-relay thingummy (blue or black box above the rear of the rocker
cover).
