OK, Now the car just will not start. ( I view this as a positive
thing, as before I was just chasing my tail) It is narrowed down to
the fuel system. I have no/very little fuel at the fuel rail. My first
question is should I hear the fuel pump when the key is first turned
on? My 505 would make a distinct grunt/buzz when first turning the
ignition on. I never really paid attention if this car does it too.
(After 3 405's, I should know by now.)When should the pump come on? In
the 'on' possition or in the 'start' possition? Second, if the pump in
the tank goes bad, could this cause the car not to start? Third, what
is the round bowl the fuel line enters next the battery? Fourth, any
other advise or things I should be looking at? It got dark before I
could really check to much. I did swap out the relay and check the
fuses. Thanks for everyones help on this, all I can say right now is I
am happy what ever went bad finally decided to go out. (Although I
would be much happier if it decided to fix itself permanantly!)
Thanks again,
John
