Two things that caught my attention.

"> Ford and Chrysler transaxles that go TU after 90K miles are just unacceptable. These guys INVENTED the automatic transmission!"

It is unacceptable but it was RENAULT who invented both manual and automatic transmissions on a car.

"> None of this however, explains why PSA doesn't have the stones to come back to this market. Hell, they never had a better lineup to do it with than now."

PSA won't copy mistake made by Nissan, Saab and Volvo. They hang in the US markets no matter costs and they all have been taken into 'custody' by a bigger player namely Renault for Nissan, GM for Saab and Ford for Volvo. PSA will return if they see right time/opportunity. For example this 'surrender monkey' and 'freedom fries' attitudes towards french won't make them come back any Onsooner...

Also best Peugeots at the moment are diesel powered and I have understood that diesel in N.A. with high sulphur doesn't fit for superb HDI engines.

PS. this wasn't meant for anything political. It is just couple of facts.
