The little bin that is to the left of the radio on the Mark II 505 (86
and up) is a great place to stow a small cell phone. Occasionally, I
hear a tiny bit of RF while listening to the radio, but its not all that
intrusive. What is intrusive is the RF that that little Nokia produces
on the land lines at home. If the phone is within 10 feet of a landline,
the interference is disturbingly loud and painfully regular. It's
gotten to the point where we have to turn the cell phone off before
making or taking calls. Not so within the trusty 505s.
