Watch out for cheap jobber parts though. I just had my Paris-Rhone A14N88 fitted with a new OEM regulator 'cause the jobber regulator went TU after less then 5000 miles. Brushes wore out. Looking at it now... sticker says: "IP 125-1 443 CN" Tested the stator - spins true. Strangness.

If you can't find already rebuilt items, you could have an electric shop rebuild your old alternator or starter. You need to ask why these guys insist on brand new parts ( or maybe just brand new prices ), and you need to insist back that rebuilt is what you want.
