OnI've never heard of a Panhard rod breaking! It's not under any
significant stress, at least not the kind that could generate a crack.
Where did it snap?
About the crown wheel, take it out of the housing and reverse it (and
the bearing races/shims). Your wobbling under drive will go away. And
use only vegetable oil in the unit.
