Got it up and running again today. Rebuilt the Master and Slave but only
replaced the slave (discovered it was leaking anyway). Would've replaced both
but there's some kind of shroud around the clutch master and I couldn't access
the nuts that held it to the firewall. This shroud wasn't present on the 85
505 diesel 5-sp. that I pulled the Master and Slave off of.
Bled it with the Phoenix pressure gun. I thought I'd be able to bleed it all
the way thru in reverse, but that wasn't going to happen, so I disconnected
the slave from the flex-hose and just bled it by itself. Test-drove and shifts
real smooth and easy. Clutch pedal engages/disengages almost immediately,
whereas it had been at the floor.
Now I need to install a second fuel tank for veggie oil. Anybody got a good
used radiator for a 505 with an AUTOMATIC transmission? I'm in Connecticut.
Thanks,
Kevin
