Friends--
I need to remove the passenger side rear coil spring on an 85 505
diesel wagon. My very brief inspection in the dark revealed a pointed
rubber bumper inside the bottom of the spring that is attached to the
axle, which I suspect is threaded into the axle and can be unscrewed.
Is that correct or is it more exotic? Top of spring looks like it just
rests against the body inside a shallow well, similar to 505 sedans.
Please advise.
