Hi Rhett,

Curious what wheels your putting on as this will determine the adapter specification. (All details if you can - offset, width, backspacing, model car they're off of etc.)

I'm planning on using BMW 17" x 8.5" wheels on my 505 turbo car and the front hubs will have to be redrilled to the 5x120 bolt pattern, and a 25mm H&R bolt on spacer needed to make it all work on the front. (A normal 5 series BMW *should* work perfectly with a 7" wide wheel running a 20mm offset). Hopefully the rear *should* just fit, but I'll likely have to do some BFH modifications to the inner wheel wells in the rear.

Sorry I can't be more specific on the dimensions you need for machining the mounting surface to the hub, but you'll definitely need to provide the back spacing measurement of the wheel to determine what spacer is needed. Just remember that the wheel has to be as close to the strut as possible (same as the factory wheel) to retain handling. Just getting them to fit is not the goal. (The 8.5 wheels are likely over kill and will probably change handling for the worse - but the curiosity will kill me if I don't try it!)

If you do get this to work - please post your results! I'd love to hear of another possible option!

Rabin

Does anyone know the front hub dimension on the 91 505 and also the   bolt pattern and off-set maximums for this car I am about to order   some wheel adapters and I am hoping these numbers will work.   These are the adapter specs that I am verifying will work   78MM Bore - to accomodate the hub. Is this large enough?   7" in diamater and are 1.8" thick
  original bolt pattern 4/140
  going to 5/112 pattern

    Thanks Rhett
