Just to clarify- when I said that, I meant a car that came from the
diplomat's home country and was legal for them to own and use in the
US because of diplomatic courtesies afforded to foreign missions in
the US, not the "diplomatic" purchase programs a lot of automakers
have to buy a US legal car overseas, drive it there, then ship it
home.
