[Peugeot-L] 405 door interior panel removal - tips?

Hi, my 1994 405 GLX sedan has a parking lot dent in the right hand front door. Non-electric windows. The good news is the paint is undamaged (the impact was on the rubber trim), so my plan is to remove the interior panel and try to "massage" out the metal.

I have the Hanes and am ready to go to it this weekend -- has anyone done this procedure and have any tips?
