So far I only EXported cars from here to Australia, also have experience
with the export to far-east ( about 50 Matra Murena gone to Japan in the
90s ).
The transfer inside Europe is not really the problem after the "contract
of Schengen" that enables you to haul a car from any country of the EU
without paying tax at the frontier.
One way would be to reask over here at the customer-office ( we live
quiet near to Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg ), the other one would
be to contact AndreasBuenning@aol.com ( the guy you sent the mirror Dave
): Andreas just catched to import his Matra 530 to Florida about 2-3
years ago. As he wants to return to Germany in the next future, he could
just be in action to find out about the return of the car also.

It’s probably easier to contact an import-export company in the US or in
Germany.
Sales taxes in France are 18.6% (European Community) plus actual
handling
(not including shipping).

US Customs must have a copy of the title at least 72 hr before I export
any
car from the US.
The fine can be $20K
When I was looking at a 504 Cab. in S Africa there was talk of semi
insane
