Hey guys.
After reading about the mint 505's, it is time to
redirect our attention to the non-mint types! As
pretty much every 505 I have seen at the scrapper and
in person has badly ripped drivers side seats I was
wondering what can be done to improve them a bit.
First, I seem to recall someone mentioning that you
may be able to swap the seat bottom from the passenger
side. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone ever done it
before? Am I crazy?
secondly, if that doesn't work - I was thinking of
just getting the leather off a passenger seat and
sewing in the good swaths of leather. Is this a
ridiculouos amount of work and has anyone attempted
this before? I once sewed the seats on my saab back
together and though it was a lot of trouble, the
results were quite good.
more questions to follow...
good day.
