For many years I have been a fan of pugs engineering
I have many 505s that have served me well
I work on many of the latest psa / sofim engines and I hope they improve
them before they put them In the Volvos !
My experience of the xud range is ok apart from head gasket problems etc
The dj5d dj5t dj5ted engines as fitted to citroen relay and Peugeot boxer is
a very poor engine, I have done 5 engine changes this year on them! Ranging
between 80k and 100k miles. Ive seen pistons out of the block, bent valves,
damaged hydraulics - too much to list and that’s before I get round to the
very poor sofim engines!
The dj5ted tends to last 70k miles
Whats going on are they now designing their cars with a life of 3 years
My zdjls and diesel 505s are still going strong with thousands of miles on
them, people used to say Peugeot diesels are just run in at 100k not any
more
