For that matter, what about Volvo's own diesel motor the five-cylinder
D5? The engines it's based on have been produced in four and six
cylinder variants as well.. which would imply that creating a D4 or D6
shouldn't be too hard.. which seems to me to cover most of Volvo's
automotive needs.
