I agree with what your saying, but I think what 505turbo.com is doing is a step forward altering email addresses.. There is no doubt that some spambots will catch it since its a widely used method, but if it helps a little bit i'm all for it. On the other hand, having a post with an email address you can reply to in some way or another is a nice thing for future usage IMO. I've emailed numerous people who posted stuff back in 99 which has been very helpful. The idea of keeping all email addresses stored for further usage by contacting the webmaster is OK, but what happens when the webmaster stops checking email (like SOME webmasters out there!). I guess it would be possible to setup the email list in a password protected section which would be sent to any listmember who wishes to request such info. It'd be possible, but I can't see it every happening.
