My Land Cruiser (and I) pulled a 504 sedan on a U-Haul dolley about 3-4 hours on the sate Thruway. Wasbn't much to rent the dolley for the day and I 'd never tow a car with rope that distance....

My gosh, 6-7 hours? Without a tow dolly? I would never do that! You going on the highway too???

Dolly. Dont use your 505 either. Look at local and state regulations wherever you going to be driving thru. Might be illegal or you might be off on capacity. Stop often and check everything is still snug. Also, are you planning on ever using the transmission? Is it auto or 5 speed? Probably need to unhook the shaft from the differential. It's a lot of work...

Ideally you have a full size pickup with a heavy duty platform you pull behind and just put the car on it. Even a Toyota Landcruiser is barely up to the task to get this+505 on the highway at 50mph. Having said that, I seem to remember George bringing a 505 V6 to Carlisle (from North Carolina!) on a tow dolly pulled by his Peugeot 604 diesel (604 is

a better towcar than a 505 tough), but I'll let George elaborate and validate that. I might be confusing circumstances and stuff...
