Hi all,
I'm after some information on identifying differential ratios. Can
this be done with the diff in the car? I know that the ratio is
stamped on the end of the input shaft but this is pretty useless if
it's in situ. A friend of mine says there is a number stamped on the
front right hand side of his diff. It says: R32793B and is a 3.58:1
out of a '80 604. I couldn't find one on my spare, it is still very
dirty though. Has anyone got any info on how to decipher this number?
Thanks,
Matt.
