the STi gas sedan with the 3 spd auto has a 4.11 diff not 3.08
the 3.08 was used in the XD2S sedan with the 3 spd auto
So unless you have change the diff you had better check the letters on the
case
the 4.11 makes the STi peppy thirsty and buzzy
the regular XN6 sedans with 3 spd auto had 3.889 gears
The diff you are contemplating using was fitted in 1985 to the XD3T engine
that has
98 hp instead of the 100 hp you have trouble is the TD engine has 50% more
torque
