Someone wrote me requesting the sizes of the different Mi16 alternator
belts that I use.
With everything in place the stock belt goes around the crank, the alternator,
the AC compressor and the tensioner.
At over $100 for a replacement the tensioner can be eliminated and a 5 rib belt
400 mm (5050400) can be used
The removal of this tensioner requires more tension on the belt to keep it from
slipping on the AC pulley when the AC is on.
When the AC pump and the tensioner are eliminated a short belt 290 mm (5050290)
can be looped around just the crank and alternator pulleys.
In both of these cases all tensioning must be done with the alternator adjustment
mechanism
