The Driver side door lock actuators (and passenger side on some models)
contain a 2 pole switch that enables the "master" lock/unlock function. The
switch is built-in to the actuator and is what the 3-terminal connector is
for. The 2-terminal connector is the one for the motor itself.
You can use one of the "front" actuators in the back simply by not using the
3-pin connector.
The actuators contain small (and usually crappy) DC permanent-magnet motors
and work by with a pulse of 12 volts, one polarity to lock, and the reverse
for unlocking. The lock control module is located behind the dash panel
under the left side of the steering column. These have a "thermal fuse" in
them that will fail if the locks are abused too much. (such as a burnt
out/shorted motor, or kids playing with the locks too much) It is easily
repairable when it fails.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] 85 505 S Wagon parts needed
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a driver's side front door latch and the front
driver's and passenger's door lock actuators...my door latch opens up,
even when it's locked! I took apart the actuator, and got it to work
for about 3 minutes after lubricating everything and cleaning the
corrosion off. When it was working, the rear doors lock and unluck,
gas door and rear liftgate locks and unlocks. The passenger's front
door only locks, never unlocks. (bad actuator, also) I had to tie
strap the driver's actuator back together since there are no screws
holding it together. It has 2 plugs on the bottom: 1 3 prong and 1-2
prong. Dows anyone also know what the two prong plug does? Doesn't
seem to affect actuation at all.
Thanks in advance.
