Hi Francois,

When you are cranking the engine over (or your helper is) you should be able to hear the injectors clicking. No clicking - check electrics After stopping cranking, the fuel pump should run for a few seconds - longer and you may have leaking injector(s).

It took me 2 days to get a towing to pick it up and no mechanic around   wanted to touch it so I had it towed to my house yesterday. Got home   too late to do much but pull the plugs.

  They were flooded.

So today I put new plugs in, just to be sure. Tried to start and it   cranks, but starts to slow down and never fires.

I removed the relay for the injection so I could test the spark at the   plugs. Pull the first plug, cranked and saw the spark and what do you   know, the engine started on 3 cylinder (the other plug resting on the   top of the engine as I was checking the spark). Ran for a few seconds   then died. That's with the injection relay pulled...

So I put the plug back in and tried again, it did the same.

Alright then, let's put the injection relay and try again. It never   started. Pulled the injecton relay, started again then died.

It seems the cold start injector provides the right amount to start   the engine, but when all the injectors are going it's too much fuel.

I am kind of baffled. I've been averaging great mpg, excellent   driveability. I parked the car in the morning after a 1 hour drive   without glitch. And then it wouldn't start.

Given all the above, it sounds like the engine is not getting enough   air, but what could it be?

  Ciao,
  Francois
