Re: [Peugeot-L] 505 misfiring

Hi, I´m from Peru. I purchased an original manual (XN6) and the pictures in are the same with my engine. Except the supplementary system of air (just for US). Maybe that was retired before, I don´t know.

I solve my problem now. The voltage at fuel pump was decreasing along the time of functioning (from 11.4 to 9.3 volts).

All this due to a sulphated and corroded cable (76A) and connector (F3), it was overheating. Even the route from the battery (20C)over the fuse F1 was low (1.8 volts missing).

I replaced this cable with #12AWG wire (I really hate make modifications) and I soldered connections too. Now my noisy fuel pump works fine and my 505 recovered its power.

I never think that could be an electrical failure, I suspect (Injectors, oil pump, pressure control, etc).

Thanks for all.
