Go to Germany, buy one with new TÜV and ship it back to the USA. A
25 year old example is a 1981 model, two years before they went out
of production. 25 year old cars are importable to the USA, no
questions asked.
Any 504C in North America would likely be in worse condition, maybe
be a semi-legal car (depending upon when it was imported) and there
are so few here that you'd have better luck finding a 1912 Peugeot
L76 Grand Prix car...
In Canada it's 15 year old cars that can be imported without
restriction. Which is why I fantasize of getting a 405 T16 in
Germany in 2008 and bringing it home with me.
