Hi,
I have just had a potentially disastrous brake failure on the 505 estate due
to fluid loss on the wheel cylinder. Unknown to me the brake fluid level
warning circuit/light was not working so I got no warning of the gradual
fluid loss until the whole braking system failed.
Does anyone know how to fix this warning circuit/light? It appears that the
light is the same as the handbrake warning light (which incidentally does
illuminate if the handbrake is on) but when I lift out the float mechanism
from the master cylinder that light does not come one - BTW the float does
shake around in the mechanism so I don't think it is stuck,
Any ideas greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Andy
