This is still my 505 turbo wagon w/ N9TEA.
I've checked pretty much all the electricals, the timing, the
compression, the spark, the seals. Pretty much down to fuel. So
tonight I decided to free the fuel rail to pull the injectors and see
if any leaked.
It appears injector #2 is leaking and possibly #3, kinda hard to tell
without pulling the rail completely off (the one bolt under the FPR is
hard to get at!). I'm going to do that tomorrow. During the week I
only have a few minutes here and there to work on this stuff.
#2 has been changed before because it was leaking. That is just
bizarre. Twice the same. Could the FPR be jammed and the pressure be
way too high and has caused the injector to fail? How much can the
fuel pump put out anyway, I wouldn't think that is possible?
I think it's time to fabricate another fuel pressure guage adapter.
Anybody knows the thread/pitch etc on the cold start injector feed on
the rail?
