The Auto Bild test is a deviation from the norm. The reviews I've
read about the 307 are mixed - it certainly doesn't rise to the top,
not even most of the time. According to CAR magazine, the Ford Focus
handles, rides, and holds the road better than the 307. Aside from
that, the 307 comes close to last in most reliability and owner
satisfaction surveys I read, primarily because it has such a weak
electronic and electrical system, terrible build quality, and
questionable durability (clutch failures, transmission failures, head
gasket failures, etc, occuring before 50,000 miles). It might look
pretty, but there is a lot of shoddy design and engineering in it. It
ain't my father's Peugeot (actually my mothers, which was a 504).
Now there was a bloody good car.
