When I took my 86 505 gas turbo rad in to get rebuilt, I got them to
add an extra core, ( from 2 to 3). Only trouble was that they covered
the shroud bolt holes, so I used twist ties.
Car runs cooler now, even going up hill full tilt in 100 degree
weather. I looked at a/m rads, but quite pricy. It cost less to get
the old one redone, and any good rad shop can add the extra core, if
there's enough room.
