Re: [Peugeot-L] installing air horns{504D}

I hope they are better than the air horns I had 30 years ago There was a short annoying delay while the compressor built up enough steam to make the honk
If you have lots of time they are fine but by the very nature of horns and their raison d'etre sometimes you won't. I would not disable my existing horns until I was convinced that I was willing to live with the delay.
And I would run a separate fused power wire to a relay and trigger it with the existing horn circuit leaving the existing horns fully in play.
You will not be able to run the air horn compressor off the existing circuit with the electric horns still connected without blowing a fuse. 4 horns are better than 2

That should be 2.5 cents worth

    Would/might anybody be willing to offer   their opinion? I am finally getting around   to installing air horns that I bought from a   member. Would diconnecting electric horns, and   routing wires directly to air horn compressor   be a satisfactory installation. Should I install   a second relay to handle current consumption,   or will factory relay be adaquate?
  {adaquate is my best guess}
    Please woo me with your 2 cents worth.
