This works for any generators. Disconnect your battery, remove the generator
belt, remove the three wires from the generator. With a set of booster
cables, ground the generator ( with pos. terminal off the battery in this
case) and touch the battery terminal on the generator with the - side of the
battery. If the generator is good, it should start turning like a motor, not
as fast as a starter motor but still have some revolutions. If it doesn't
turn, it needs rebuilding or a serious cleaning in the least. Try this
first, there are other tests to be done if this one is succesfull.
