Peugeot owners,
I drive a 405 DL Sportwagon every day and have driven the excellent 505
Wagon as well.
The most important difference is not in religion (FWD vs RWD) but is in
the inherent storage capacity between the two wagons. The 405 is a
modern design car which is squarish and can hold a lot as result, but it
is a smaller car than the older 505 Wagon. The 505 Wagon with rear
passenger seats down has a huge capacity for storage and is much larger
than the 405 in practice.
I like FWD cars, but the 505 handles really well and has a little more
width for the passenger seats. Also, some 505s have V6 and 4 cylinder
diesel and turbo diesel engines, was well.
