Re: [Peugeot-L] 1986 505 central locking

Hi Chris,

Several years ago. I remember something about taking off the interior door panel to get at the motor and associated contacts to clean them. It has been fine since. I think we did more than one door, but the driver side had the controlling offensiveness in it. The driver side plunger did just that -- came up with the actuation of the key, then ignored the fact of our having the key still turned in the lock and came crashing back down re-locking the doors. Going around to the passenger side, we were able to open unlock that side and keep it unlocked, even while the driver side remained impassable! Clean those contacts all over the place.

Someone will have up-to-date suggestions as to more precise procedure, cleaning devices and goop to apply to make the operation last longer after you have buttoned everything back up.

(They'd really think you a loon, if you also had the English version of the French car -- right-hand drive and all!)

Gene
