Hi, I also second that motion, I had the same problem with the central locking on my '85 505 wagon. I took the central locking box under the steering wheel to bits and found there was a broken solder joint inside. A quick bit of soldering saw the problem fixed and all doors now locking and unlocking.

I was once helped by a list member (Phil) regarding this problem, so here I am passing along his very valuable information that fixed the problem in my 505.

That connector is the same style as the "problematic" connectors under the hood, but the underdash location is devoid of water and the other elements, so it is reliable. (unless you somehow got water under your dash!)
