I was driving my Wagon not far from my house (luckily) and all the sudden it
lost power and would not restart.
Fuel pump and K-Jet frequency valve still running when I tried to restart.
Spark present. I took a jumper lead and rigged the cold-start injector with
+12 volts and the car immediately started and ran rough at idle, but would
die as soon as I opened the throttle. This seems to confirm the fuel supply
and pump, as well as the spark.
It is still not running, and I cannot figure out why. It's as if something
suddenly made the K-Jet stop spraying fuel.
Anyone have any ideas?!? I've never encountered this kind of a problem
with the K-Jet system, and I'm wary of taking apart that intricate
OnOnOnmechanical valve if the cause could be elsewhere....
Thanks!
