The "fuse" is repairable just by pinching it with needlenose and resoldering. They have a carbon resistor that heats up and melts the solder, causing a brass contact spring to pop off the top of the resistor. My picture shows it already repaired:

The other option is to replace it with a 2 amp auto-resetting circuit breaker....
