This is precisely why I am annoyed. I know this for a fact.

Yahoo is also selling the content for targeted spam.

They will continue to get more aggressive with their "incursions" as time goes on I suspect. (The market is getting competitive so they will leverage their assets, being US!)

If we put the email list on Mailman we will have better control and can take steps like you suggest to prevent spammers from joining and harvesting.
