Re: [Peugeot-L] VOTING YES FOR YAHOO

think of how many thousands of times our email addresses have been posted on Jim Lill's peugeot-L list archives on the web (and we all know how well crawled those things are!). I think that's a huge contributor of spam.

if you ask me, its 2006, and spam is just part of the internet experience. we can all bitch and moan, but at the end of the day, your never going to escape it fully. it really comes down to how little you can get. I use gmail for peugeot-l (as you can see), and i never get any spam in my inbox with all the posts, it does an excellent job of filtering it into my 'spam' folder automatically. I think all serious mail providers out there today offer some level of spam filtering eh? (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, earthlink, aol, etc. etc).

i'd be totally happy with switching to a real list manager, but what i wouldn't be happy with is splitting the group up. i think i mentioned this before, but it seems like we have a lot of 'old school' users who have a hard time hitting 'reply to all' as it is. seems like for some, it'd be more hassle then its worth to split to another list (especially if they don't have a problem with spam).
