We were in Victoria BC today buying some shoes for Sandy and parked at
the smart dealer was a 1977 Claret Red 504 SL sedan, OEM Euro lights
(one cracked, the other with condensation), as had all post 1975 gas
504s in Canada.
My late father had one of these, except with the 4 speed manual 'box,
sold in 1979 bcause it was a pig on gas.
The Victoria example was in average condition for the age showing some
rust bubbbles on one rear door, on parts of the rear wheel wells and
one front fender. Nevertheless, it was really nice to see one again.
I think the owners were smart car shopping....
