Well, 1985 was a simple year. You had the base model 505 GL as a sedan, and a wagon. Next came the 505S (again sedan and wagon) which added power windows, nicer upholstery, sun roof (sedan only), 14" alloy wheels, cruise control, A/C as standard equipment...next was the STI ( sedan only) with a leather steering wheel, 15" alloys, and a stiffer suspension, and lastly the 505 Turbo (sedan only that year). The Turbo added of course a turbocharger to the STI, oh yeah, and a sportier steering wheel, spioler, and front air-dam. The base engine you have, if you have the GL, is a simple 2.0 litre 4 cylinder. The SW8 is an eight passenger wagon version available in later years, and yes there were turbodiesel wagons available as well.
I think this is pretty accurate, but if anyone knows oterwise, please let me know.

Also, my owners manual just lists my car as a fuel
injected wagon, (it's a 1985 505) but the title states that
it's a GL.
I have also seen postings that mention the SW8, and I can only
assume the TD stands for turbo diesel.
What were the different option packages available for that year
on the 505 in the U.S.
