I have a noisy bearing in the rear hub of my 405.
So I pull the brake stuff and undo the 40 mm nut
Hook the slide hammer onto the hub and whack whack
it's off the spindle except of course for the inner race.
I was under some delusion that it was the same bearing as the
505 rear and the 405 front. So when it's obviously I was wrong
I looked in the fische and the damn bearing is part of the hub
i.e. not a separate piece.
That means instead of a $50 bearing and some fancy press work
it is probably $200 + for a new hub.
God bless their little French hearts
Bob
