I'd love to see some objective proof (not marketing materials) of
this. As far as I can tell you're talking about two radically
different light sources (filament versus gas discharge) which will
yield different patterns of light, which would thus require different
reflectors.
Further, those retrofit kits won't include any sort of self-leveling
systems that OE systems are required to have (to prevent oncoming or
leading traffic from being blinded).
